Yemaya (pronounced Yey-maya) is the African Yoruban Goddess of the sea. She is the creator/mother goddess who gave birth to the 14 orisha spirits.

Originally worshiped in Africa and later Brazil where she is know as Iamanja. Yemaya's worshippers send offerings of gifts and flowers out to sea on little boats. Those who come to Mother Yemaya with complete surrender find that their troubles dissolve in the waters of her embrace.

My Yemaya goddess necklace is strung with amber & black glass beads, handmade silver foil spiral beads, and sterling silver beads. Comes with a handmade Yemaya pendant wrapped with sterling silver wire. Colors are jet black, dark & light amber. Necklace is 28" long plus the 2.5" pendant.
