Eurynome
is one of the most ancient of Greek Goddesses and hence the Goddess
of Creation. The Great Mother, Creatrix, and Ruler of All Things.
Eurynome, born from chaos, first separated the water from
the sky. Then she danced across the water in a wild, sensuous
dance of creation. Eurynome is considered the mother of
graces and represents the experience of ecstasy in all things.
My
Eurynome Goddess Necklace will take you back to ancient
times and the lovely water blues of the
Mediterranean seas. Striking silver spirals
represent the ongoing forces of creation and life.
Eurynome's
Creation Story
Eurynome was born naked and dancing from the cosmic ocean
of energy and light. Her passionate and esctatic dancing separated
light from dark. Her movements broke apart the sky from the sea
and her wild whirling and dancing resulted in tremendous winds,
thus bringing forth the wind serpent, Ophion.
Eurynome
created Ophion by rolling the supple clay of the earth into a
serpent form. United with Ophion, their union brought forth the
universal egg from which creation was born. She looked down upon
her creation from her place high on Mt. Olmpus.
