Also known as Ymoja, Iamanja, Imanja, Iamanje, Yemanja, Yemaya Ataramagwa, Yemaya, Yemalla, and Black Mami Wata.

Yemaya (pronounced Yey-maya) is the African Yoruban Goddess of the sea. Yemaya is the creator/mother goddess who gave birth to the 14 orisha spirits.

Originally worshiped in Africa and later Brazil where she is know as Iamanja. Yemaya worshippers send offerings of gifts and flowers out to sea on little boats. Those who come to Mother Yemaya with complete surrender find that their troubles dissolve in the waters of her embrace.


My Yemaya goddess necklace is strung with sterling silver beads, pewter spirals, and black glass beads and comes with a handmade Yemaya pendant wrapped with sterling silver wire.

Pendant Length - 2.5"- Necklace Length- 24" - strand can be shortened to any length for a small fee.
