Hecate
(pronounced heh-kah-tey) is the Greek moon goddess of darkness and magic.
She is a crone who would walk the roads at night accompanied by packs of dogs
and carrying a blazing torch. People honored her by leaving offerings at the places
where three roads crossed. As a crone goddess, she protects women when they leave
their homes and guides and directs when one path ends and another begins.
She
is a crone goddess and makes up the Greek triple goddess with Persephone (the
maiden) and Demeter (the mother) and represents the crone energies at their highest
intensity. She holds the magical powers of regeneration and is a Goddess of choices,
wisdom and of leaving the old behind to begin anew.
The
Hecate goddess pendant is glazed in a bronze metallic glaze and wrapped
