At the start of this new year, 2010, while visiting the Florida coast, I found a nice selection of shell pieces with large holes and pockets in them. This necklace was made from one of those shells. Having been created at the start of the new year, this piece symbolizes rebirth and the act of being re-created, or reborn from the sea.
